Job Details:

  • Full Time – Hourly
  • Monday – Friday
    • 2nd Shift (2pm – 10pm)

Basic Job Duties:

  • Supervise production employees and monitor production to ensure approved standards and specifications are met.
  • Analyze procedures and production methods to improve quality, costs or productivity, in keeping with product specifications, good manufacturing practices, Federal safety regulations and Company policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets, troubleshooting, machine adjustments and minor equipment repair.
  • Ability to perform machine setup, operation and packing finished product.
  • Directly supervises the activities of Production department personnel. Additionally, is responsible to ensure staffing patterns are fulfilled and work the floor as needed.
  • Actively supports members’ training and professional development.
  • Counsels members in accordance with company policies with issues relating to conduct and performance issues. Assists with recommendation and implementation of disciplinary actions.
  • Provide the necessary level of training and safety inspections to assure a safe work environment.
  • Ensure training is coordinated for new employees as well as incumbents so that product quality and work flow are maintained.
  • Review performance of personnel as required and documents required performance enhancement plan as needed or any other disciplinary actions that may be required.
  • Serve as a manufacturing technical expert for identified manufacturing processes.  Continually review process and results, anticipate problems, and trouble-shoot processes and equipment with the assistance of other departments.
  • Complete Payroll related administrative responsibilities including approving biweekly time cards.
  • Oversees and coordinates PTO and employees time off requests ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Provides input on employee compensation and advancement opportunities.
  • Supervise temporary employees as required.  May train as needed.

Second Shift Responsibilities:

  • Monitor usage of consumables at machines and restock as needed.
  • Clear finished goods from aisles and maintain organization and safety on the floor.
  • Support the quality department assisting with assurance that all products are within specifications.
  • Assist in analysis of quality defects and determine necessary segregation.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise production employees and administer policies and procedures and assist with any employee relations issues and counseling, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma.
  • Ability to utilize a forklift and maintain certification.
  • Associates Degree in related field of study strongly preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Position requires 5 years of working experience, desired within a manufacturing setting.
