Job Details:

  • Full Time – Hourly
  • 1st Shift, 8am – 4pm (Monday – Friday)
    • Starting pay: $18 – $20 per hour, based on experience

Basic Job Duties

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for assisting the day to day functions of the shipping and receiving department.

  • Verify all outgoing shipments by cross checking paperwork and calling truck lines for pick up
  • Contact customers for order disposition
  • Process outgoing shipping paperwork using warehouse management system
  • Package, tape and send out UPS and FedEx packages when needed
  • Conduct an accurate physical count of finished goods when Shipping Coordinator is not available
  • Cross-trained in receiving procedures to help when needed
  • Follow all safety procedures with regard to operating a forklift and handling the dock locks and dock door system
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment
  • Compliance with all company Quality Systems, Operational and Human Resources policies, procedures, and practices including safety, food safety and housekeeping procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
    • Bachelors or associates degree in related field is a plus
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of prior shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing setting required
