Job Details:

  • Full Time – Hourly
  • 3rd Shift       10pm – 6am (Sunday – Thursday)
    • Starting pay + shift premium ($23.00 + $1.65 per hour)

Basic Job Duties:

This position will work primary as a high level Machine Operator.  This includes responsibility for producing a quality product to the customer’s specifications efficiently as well as continuous improvements regarding workmanship standards, standard operating procedures, and safety suggestions.   The position will function as a Back Up Supervisor that includes providing leadership support, monitoring, and communicating efficiency to the Machine Operators and Quality Inspectors.

  • Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets at Level III standards for one or more machine type.
  • Maintain established Quality standards
  • Troubleshoot a process or machine concern and communicate resolutions
  • Perform machine setup, operation and packing finished product.
  • Accurately document and complete necessary forms
  • Work with multiple teams/departments
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Follow all safety and food safety regulations

Secondary Job Duties:

  • Mentor employees by ensuring correct processes and protocol are being followed.
  • Provide constructive and respectful feedback to operators with the intention of helping them learn.
  • Be the liaison to the Production Supervisor, Production Manager, maintenance department, and QC personnel to help resolve issues with machines and product. This includes verbal communication and written communication, such as submitting work orders.
  • Monitor setup and efficiency reports and communicate to operators.
  • Oversee and supervise staff on the shift to ensure work output is occurring.
  • Intervene on employee issues as needed and communicate to Production Manager.
  • On occasion, is responsible for opening plant at the start of the workweek (Sunday) and start up auxiliary equipment to cover for Supervisor.
  • Monitor usage of consumables at machines and restock as needed.
  • Clear finished goods from aisles and maintain organization and safety on the floor.
  • Support the quality department assisting with assurance that all products are within specifications.
  • Monitors Attendance cell phone and reports absences.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Perform back up Supervisor duties approximately 20% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Five (5) years of working experience in a manufacturing setting required
  • Previous leadership experience
